A Strange Land (Gin Ichimaru &/or Grimmjow)

[Renji Abari]

Blood soaked sand created spots of crimson like paint dripped carelessly from a Artists brush. Renji glanced around, noting the strange lurking sadness that filled the air. The Red-head let his feet carry him, walking without a destination. "Am I dead?" he mumbled, seeing zero signs of life through each hall he went. He wandered through the Palace for hours, not quite remembering how he had arrived or what he was supposed to be doing.

Renji walked and walked, his feet and legs starting to protest. The tattooed man sighed, sitting down at the top of a long staircase. "Why can't I remember what I was supposed to be doing? Or what this damn place is!" Renji Punched the floor, making a few cracks in the concrete.

He took a deep, calming breath and sighed. "This sucks," He mumbled, leaning to the left any resting his head against the wall.

[Gin Ichimaru]

Some would have thought it odd when he lifted his head, some of his blue hair falling back like a mane, and opened his mouth to taste at the air.

He smelled Soul Reaper.

The question was how a Soul Reaper would get into Hueco Mundo, let alone the palace. Unless this was Aizen's doing, that bastard of a man always seemed to do the oddest things. With an ulterior motive of course, but still.

Soul Reaper.

His steps quickened as he walked down the passage, "fangs" beared as he grinned. Maybe it was that orange haired kid. He didn't think so due to the scent, but damn, he could hope.

"Hey." He said, once he stood at the top of a staircase.

The voice echoed, gruff as always and bounced off of the bottomless white of the walls and reverberated back and forth and back and forth. There he was, a little Soul Reaper on the stairs. Maybe he wouldn't get caught if he just... played with him a bit.

His rough hand rested on the hilt of his sword as his grin grew wider.

"Soul Reaper."

[Renji Abari]

The gruff voice behind him startled Renji, pulling him out of his thoughts. "Soul Reaper," the man had said. Renji stood, turning to get a look at the man. Shock blue hair framed a strong face, lightly tanned skin, and sharp Cerulean eyes with the jaw fragment from a mask on the right side of the man's face. One glance at the man's teeth let renji know that this guy had Fangs and just might use them.

The Blunette was sporting a sword, coupled with that fierce, maniacal grin. The man was confident, strong, and had a primal gleam in his eyes. He's a natural-born fighter, his muscles tense and relax quickly. Renji's hand automatically rested on Zabimaru as he thought, feeling comfort from the sword. "I have a name. It's Renji Abari. Who are you, and where are we?" The Red-head asked, unable to recognize the man infront of him from anywhere.

[Gin Ichimaru]

"I am an arrancar, first of all." Grimmjow took a step down the stair in front of him, closer to the soul reaper. "And that means I am a hollow." He took another step, farther down into the bowels of the palace, and he made a slight scoffing noise at the thought.

Fucking palace.

He still had the animalistic instincts to know that he felt better alone, and on the prowl out in the unending desert. It was more natural. Either that, or the living world. Oh, what he wouldn't give to be prowling the STREETS for the berry. "Mi fresa.... mine fresa... " He growled under his breath, before snapping back to the situation.

"Your in Hueco Mundo, Soul Reaper." The end was said with obvious intent to annoy the other. "My name is Grimmjow, maybe you've heard of me from berry." Another step. "I was the one who kicked his ass a little while ago."

Another step and he was right in front of Renji.

"And I don't give a fuck about you name."

Renji's forehead tattoos scrunched together, his face set in a cautious stare. Somebody has a serious Superiority Complex... the Redhead thought. "If names mean so little, why bother divulging yours? Berry... You must have fought Ichigo..." Renji mumbled, his cherry-brown eyes narrowing slightly.

"Anyway, what do you want, Grimmjow? I have things to do." Renji was sure there was some reason he was there, but couldn't figure it out. So he wasn't exactly lying, just not telling the Blue-haired Devil too much. Better to be safe than sorry, his mind supplied, his hand unconsciously tightening around Zabimaru's hilt.

[Gin Ichimaru]

To the answer about saying his own name, every possible answer to give sounded childish to him. He couldn't exactly come out and say, 'because my name is more awesome than yours' or something like that. That would just be stupid after all.

"Yes. I fought Ichigo." There was a pause, where his almost glowing cerulean eyes disappeared in the dark of the staircase as they closed, and then he opened them again.

"Why are you here? I am not sure you want me leaving you alone just yet." He walked down a couple more steps, before bending, his face an inch away from Renji's. "I like a good fight, sure." His face tilted a bit. "But you could fall prey to much larger problems. So to speak." Standing back up, he added thoughtfully, "Soul Reaper." With a cocky grin, he addressed him.

[Renji Abari]

Renji stared at Grimmjow, Larger problems? What the hell could be worse than Alone in Enemy territory, not remembering a damn thing he was supposed to do? Being a captive already would be worse. we wouldn't be able to fight. Zabimaru supplied. Should we ask him if he knows how to get out of here? um... I don't know... You aren't very decisive today.
Renji kept a tight grip on his sword and his eyes stayed on Grimmjow, his Cherry-brown eyes unconsciously sweeping over the large man. "The problem is, I don't remember what I'm supposed to be doing. I just started walking and ended up here, then I ran in to you... Grimmjow." Renji said the blue-haired man's name, mostly to himself, trying to commit it to memory.

[Gin Ichimaru]

Right away he could see the obvious confusion on the face of the other, and he couldn't help but let a sound of amusement escape his lips. Wow, the emotions of this guy played across his face like a movie. And he called himself a fighter? He couldn't help but wonder if the other was this expressive during battle. Probably was, but it didn't matter for some people. "I don't why your here either soul reaper." He stressed the soul reaper bit like her had before.

Oh, sometimes it was so nice being a jack ass. Ah, and how he described it. 'I was walking and I ended up here.' Grimmjow snorted. "You don't just walk and end up here, dumb ass." Stepping forward quickly, he grabbed the others hair roughly, yanking his head closer to himself, and letting the others scent drift into past his mouth and nose. Hah, commit that to memory. Better than the name of the god damn soul reaper, fuck that, he had forgotten it already. "Renji." He said, surprising himself, letting the other go as roughly as he had grabbed onto him.

"Soul Reaper." He thrust his finger against the others chest, before pointing to the large window that showed the vast, endless desert. "You go out there you die." He pointed at himself.

"However I can open a garganta." A sly smile slithered onto his lips. Grimmjow yawned, having woken up not that long ago, showing off his enlongated canines.

((I was sitting here, and my eyes swept over this paragraph and I saw the words 'ass', and 'thrust' and 'finger' and 'against' and then I was like, really? ROFL xDDDD))

[Renji Abari]

Renji watched the blue-haired man closely, locking his jaw to keep from hissing when Grimmjow grabbed his hair. The two men were inches apart, a gleam of anger shining brightly in cherry-brown orbs. If he beat Ichigo, He'll beat you too. Don't attack just yet!

Renji heard the hissed warning from Zabimaru and didn't try to cleave the larger man in half. The bluenette let him go, Renji making note of his musky scent. Renji listened to the man, abnormally attentive to what the man had to say.

"So you can get me out of here?" Renji asked, seeing the arrancar yawn. Renji felt a smirk stretch his lips, tightening his hand on his sword when Grimmjow stopped yawning.Alright then, ya smart ass, Renji thought.

The Redhead's hand shot forward, grabbing onto Grimmjow's jacket and pulling him down a step closer, their faces once again only inches apart. "What do I have to do for you to open a Garganta?" Renji asked, a devious and sly smirk playing across his face.

Renji waited, thinking the Blunette would knock his hand away or draw his sword to fight. Come on, Grimmjow. Hit me, I'm waiting for it, Renji said in his thoughts, his eyes locked on to the Cyan orbs.

[Gin Ichimaru]

Grimmjow twitched in an animalistic way, his lip moving to almost curl back before stopping, and his nose scruched up. "Yes, that means I could get you out of here." Wow, either this Soul Reaper was a total dumb ass, or -

Suddenly the other grabbed him, pulling him forward.

Grimmjow gave the other no reaction. He, in no way, felt threatened by this. After all, seeing as the other had not attacked him head on just yet, he most likely had a reason to know he would not be able to win. He could see the other was one to jump into things. Heh. Must have someone back in Soul Society to help hold him back. Little did Grimmjow know he was correct. (LOL, Captain Kuchiki. xD)

"Convince me. Why the fuck should I send you on your way home, eh? I don't think I have a good enough reason as it is." Grimmjow said, his voice husky as he spoke low.

[Renji Abari]

Renji felt a strange tingle go through his spine, Grimmjow's tone making the Redhead shiver slightly. The Lieutenant tried to think quickly as the blunette's musky scent once again trashed his train of thought.

I can't beat him, so... Eureka! Renji decided, smirking as he noticed Grimmjow looked more or less bored. He had to be in an empty place like Hueco Mundo. So, Renji could 'entertain' the larger man, hopefully.

Renji, being the loud-mouthed, brash, smart-ass he was, did something that might get his damn head cut off. But, Renji was tired of trying to think things through. It took too much time.

Renji moved forward, kissing Grimmjow roughly. Renji waited for the reaction he wanted, his cherry-brown eyes focused on the Arrancar's electric blue ones. There was a small doubt in the Lieutenant's mind about this, but who cared, he was as good as dead by just being here. It didn't matter that the Arrancar he was currently kissing could chop him up like minced fish. If I die, atleast I know that Arrancars aren't really cold. Grimmjow's like a furnace, or maybe I'm blushing... eh, oh well.

[Gin Ichimaru]

Grimmjow knew how Soul Reapers worked. Even though he hadn't been around too many of them for long periods of time, he had their inner workings down. Just from being around Berry and that Rukia girl. From being around Aizen, and Gin and Tousen. There were certian elements that they all had, and then of course the odd things thrown into the mix. They never gave up. Most of the time when it came to humans there was the occasional one that could be faltered. Perhaps it had something to do with their training, but when it came to Soul Reapers, no, most of them were persistant bastards instead of the lucky few.

Then there were the odd things. Tousen had his justice system. Ichigo had to protect his friends, likely some fear from the past coming to haunt him. That would be a delightful one for him to exploit in the other, that was for sure. Rukia, now, he hadn't been around her enough to tell what was different about her. The only time he had been around her, he had taken the quick opportunity to impale her with his fist and that had been all she wrote.

Since then he had studied Aizen and Gin a bit closer. Aizen, now he kept things hidden. Locked up. Gin on the other hand, while playing himself out, all his quirks, openly wearing them. And yet they weren't. Somehow Gin was able to wear his fears on the outside, not harboring then on the inside. Leaving him without a care. And he didn't even get them chipped. Probably the only one to be able to see through that man would be Lord Aizen himself. Grimmjow almost scoffed openly at that. Lord. Heh, right.

As the redhead yanked him forward and kissed him though, he knew that many Soul Reapers had inner workings that not even Aizen would be able to comprehend.

The Arrancar's eyes widened, and he pulled back. He wasn't exactly sure why. It wasn't as if he didn't roll that way, or that the kiss wasn't a good one. He supposed it was because he wasn't a total player. That was all. Grimmjow had his eyes set on someone. He had his eyes set on Ichigo, his berry. That was what he wanted. And he wouldn't be sleeping with others along the way. Oh, heh, well that made this extremely awkward. Should he LIE and say he didn't roll that way? No, that was stupid. "Uh... " His bright blue eyes flickered back to the man in front of him. "I'll open a garganta for you if your so desperate." He chuckled, but the sound was low and kind of sad, probably in the down unfeeling of the moment. "Look, I... I don't want to make you feel bad. I just have my eyes set on the Berry." Moving forward, he locked the others lips in a kiss, before pulling away with a grin and brushing his knuckles across the others jaw. "Your a real piece of work, but I'm gunna have to let you go. After all." There was a pause and his grin grew. "I have my eyes set on a prize."

[Renji Abari]

Renji was stunned, after hearing that Grimmjow was after Ichigo. It was surprising, but not as sprising as the slight kindness that the Arrancar was showing him. The Liuetenant flinched when he felt Grimmjow's hand brush his jaw, listening to him finish talking about Ichigo being his prize. Renji just noded, trying to cover up his flinch.

Renji bowed to the blue-haired Arrancar, "Don't worry about the Garganta Grimmjow-san. I-I remember what I was supposed to do." It was a lie, and a weak one at that but Renji didn't want to go back to the Soul Society or The Living World. Nor did the Redhead want to be around the tall Arrancar.

So, with a quick nod, Renji ran.
It wasn't out of fear that he decided to run, but out of shame. He was ashamed to have kissed Grimmjow, because Grimmjow was after Ichigo. The Lieutenant was also ashamed because he didn't want to go back to his 'Home'. Despite being a Lieutenant, he was still Rukongai scum. That is how he would always be viewed, garbage, unfit to be in the Court Guard Squads.

Renji ran until he couldn't feel anyone's Spirit Pressure around him. The tall man sat down, hugging his knees to his chest and supressing his Reitsu so he wouldn't be found. Renji was tired of fighting... He just wanted to die.
